Since the wedding, the stress level at Pride Rock has gone down significantly. We’re settling back into a routine but we’ve also been doing more as a couple. A couple weekends ago, I convinced Kendall to head to Virginia to check out Oz. I’d been a couple of times- once with some of the Bubbles & Bloggers crew, and once for a tasting party- but he had never been.

While we originally planned to go for their BoOZe deal (Two-Course Dinner  for $36 a person plus penny rail drinks, 50 cent domestic bottled beer and $1 house wine) we changed our minds and ordered off the regular menu. The best part was getting brave and trying their exotic sliders- kangaroo, camel, and venison. Kangaroo really tasted like beef, to be honest. Venison tasted like pulled pork.

After dinner, buzzed from a few cocktails, we snuck across the street to Dunkin Donuts for dessert. We literally brought home a dozen doughnuts. It was silly. It was fun. And it wasn’t super fancy but I love our little dates.

My date night outfit I think reflects the kind of dates we have. An LBD paired with gold kicks and a pile fun accessories? Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy.
