There are a wealth of blogs and articles out there describing the pains and torment that you can go through when planning and prepping for your big day. But wedding are supposed to be fun aren’t they? So why can’t the preparation be fun as well? Well, in truth, it can! Just read on for some suggestions as to how.

Making your centerpieces

One of the biggest things that couples that are getting married often have to complete is the centerpieces for the tables at their wedding reception. This is a popular thing to DIY, as not only can you save a ton of money by making your own, but you can also do a pretty good job of it too.

But rather than sitting in darkened room on your own, assembling and reassembling table centers, get the girls or the family round for a few drinks and a decoration making party.

All you have to do is find a guide on Youtube of how to make your centerpiece. Then watch it together and assign a role to each person. For example, you can have the maid of honor collecting up the right colors of silk flowers, and the other bridesmaids tying them in ribbons and playing them in a jar or vase.

Table planning

A wedding related preparation that can cause a lot of stress is planning where about you friends and family will sit. It’s easy to get tied in knots trying to keep friends and family either apart or together while pleasing everyone.

To make this mammoth task of seating planning fun, why not assign each person a flag and move them around on a sheet of paper with the table plan drawn out? At least then it’s more like a game. You also have the advantage of it being flexible so you can move people around as you get acceptances and declines for your invites.

Or you can really throw caution to the wind, and get rid of a formal seating plan altogether. Then people get to choose their own seats and groups to interact with. Which can also work really well.

Gift list

Something that you should definitely have fun with is the list of wedding gifts. In fact, it’s a great chance for you as a couple to enjoy some quality shopping time together. But if this isn’t your or your partner’s thing, then why not make it a little more interesting by introducing some games?

You can play games like choosing each other items. Where you pick three things that you know your other half will like and see who does the best. Or you can have a little wager on who will purchase each item from the list.

Thrilling Wedding Thank You Cards

Thank you cards

Lastly, when all of the fun is said and done, your role as the happy couple isn’t over. You still have one task to complete. Yes, that’s right thank your cards.

Make this task a lot more fun by getting smaller cards printed with a variety of photos from the wedding, reminding you of your happy memories. Or you can even get a stamp to make the job super quick and easy!
