I eagerly await the announcement of Pantone’s color of the year. It’s kind of fun to see what they pick and why. This is the first year I tried to predict what the color would be. Based on some of my favorite Instagram accounts (including those of some of my besties) I swore that the color would be a rusty orange. Actually, I wasn’t that far off with Living Coral.
When I found out about the pick last night, I actually wasn’t crazy about it. But I love reading about the why behind the color of the year, and this year’s why specifically resonated with me.

“Living Coral embodies our desire for playful expression.” Isn’t that what my blog is about? I love that this playful color occurs in nature, and appeals to something I think we’re all looking for in the digital age- authentic experiences.
