I can’t believe how fast this summer flew. Yes, it’s still hot and yes, we technically have a few more weeks but I’m pretty sure most of us in the US consider Labor Day the end of summer. I am SO psyched for this month. My sweet sister in law is getting married so Kendall and I are road tripping to Mississippi- stopping to see our best man and hopefully his godson along the way. Kendall’s family is so sweet to me and I’m blessed with a wonderful relationship with them. Not so much looking forward to 14 hours in the car each way but it’ll be nice to get out of town.

Then the week after that is Chowder Fest so I’ll be down the shore eating and buying all of the things with my mom and two of our closest friends. I cannot wait for the end of this month!

So what’s on my wish list for this transitional time?

  1. One again, I’m on the hunt for perforated booties. I actually loved my pair from Charlotte Russe, but, no surprise here, they fell apart after one particularly tough romp through Georgetown.
  2. Leopard booties also seem to be an issue for me. I had a cute pair that I tried to make work from the kids section of Target but they just pinched a little too much so I ended up selling them to a coworker for her 11 year old.
  3. I’m not saying I need another purse, but I am saying that if I did, it would be the Amor bag from Urban Expressions.
  4. Maxi dresses are certainly a challenge when you have the body type of a corgi,  but my little legs be damned, I’m falling hard for long fall florals.
  5. I recently mentioned a new-to-me brand called Bobeau and honestly I would wear anything they make. A baby doll tee, however, is perfect for casual Fridays where I can wear jeans but prefer a more elevated top.
  6. Ditto a sweet tunic top. I think this one would actually be long enough to wear as a dress with tights and boots.
  7. I’ve said this many, many times but August is not a good time for me. I’m always an anxious, nasty mess. I’ve never used a smudge kit before but anything to rid our space of stale, negative energy is a-okay by me.
  8. Due to a gross incident with powder dip (10/10 WOULD NAHT recommend!!) I’ve had naked nails almost all summer. I’ll go back to my gel polish, thank you very much! I think a pretty berry like butter LONDON’s Queen Vic would be nice for this time of year, if I don’t go to my regular soft pink.
  9. I’m almost out of my “everyday” perfume (Moschino’s Fresh) and I was explorin’ the webz looking for something new to try. I came across a brand called Imaginary Authors that comes up with a fictitious literary persona for each of their scents. Saint Julep sounds the most delicious to me.
