TL;DR – I prefer the second one in each grouping.

the cult classic purifying face cleanser vs. knockout daily exfoliating cleanser

I do not understand why the Tula cleanser is a cult classic. I got it free in a FabFitFun box and I do not like it. I don’t like the way it smells, I don’t like the way it bubbles. The knockout has almost a minty/menthol scent, feels great. No notes.

Selfless by Hyram Retinol & Rainbow Algae Repair Serum vs. The INKEY List Retinol Anti-Aging Serum

Here’s the thing about the Selfless by Hyram retinol – I like it! But it reminds me so much of the Inkey List retinol which is a third of the cost. They’re actually both by Inkey List, so I’m wondering what the biggest difference is, besides the packaging. The Inkey list one has a little bit more of a smell to it, but it’s delicate. I also feel like there’s more product with the original.

youth or dareâ„¢ multi-acid & C serum vs raydiate vitamin c serum

The C serum is the first thing I’ve used my Tarte that I don’t love. I really enjoy that the rydiate smells like citrus, whereas the C serum doesn’t have a smell. It doesn’t feel as moisturizing either and to me, one pump isn’t enough and two is too much. It also gets clogged around the spout and dries up. Just not great.

Celeb Luxury Intense Color Depositing Colorwash Shampoo + BondFix Rebuilder vs Keracolor Clenditioner

I started dabbling with colorwashes using Celeb Luxury. It’s effective but incredibly drying. I swear by Karacolor, for any fun coloring, because it also acts like a conditioning treatment. I’d say if you do use a “fun” color, it take about a week of regular washing to completely come out.

innisfree Ginger Honey Nourishing Ampoule Toner vs THAYERS Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Facial Toner with Aloe Vera Formula

I wanted to try a fancy toner and althought I love the way the innisfree smells and feels on my skin, it has more of a jelly texture than I’m used to. I also got a pump for toner, and it kind of oozes out everywhere. I’ll stick to my trusty (and much less expensive) Thayers.
