Even though it’s still winter, this year especially seemed like a turning point once January 1st hit. I don’t know if that’s wishful thinking or my own affirmations that 2021 will be better than 2020, but I just have hope that it will be. Everything feels fresh.
I’m a big fan of colors and their meanings, and sky blue seems like the perfect color to kick off this new year. There is so much to look forward to, yet we I think we all need to tread lightly and with sensitivity.
Blue represents both the sky and the sea, and is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, expansiveness, inspiration, and sensitivity. Blue also represents meanings of depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, heaven, and intelligence.
The color blue has positive affects on the mind and the body. As the color of the spirit, it invokes rest and can cause the body to produce chemicals that are calming and exude feelings of tranquility. Blue helps to slow human metabolism, is cooling in nature, and helps with balance and self-expression.
