Good morning and happy Friday! Did anyone else have a really had time focusing this week? Maybe it’s the wonky weather- why was it so dang hot?!? Hopefully it’ll cool down a bit this weekend. Tomorrow I’m party busin’ it with some of my blogger babes to Butler’s Orchard + Rocklands Farm & Winery. On Sunday, my family having a sweet little memorial for my sister’s 25th. It’s going to be a busy but fulfilling weekend!

I think I found my next bag! I love the rich wine color.

Inspired by Alexandra’s post, On Cozy: Must Try Pumpkin Chai, (and Kendall jokingly getting me a bottle of pumpkin spice) I finally decided to try overnight oats. I made mine with vanilla almond milk, pumpkin spice, a mix of berries, and maple syrup. Super yummy and more filling than I ever would have imagined! The best part- the maple syrup is from my friend Joanne’s husband’s family home in Vermont… they gave it as favors at their wedding!

If you know love a teacher, you already know everything in this letter. If you don’t, you should read this letter and love your teachers.

On DC statehood (this is important)

One local brewery is doing their part to save the bees. Cheers, Flying Dog!

Oh heeeey we are in a golden age of oysters. Let’s celebrate- with oysters!

Have a great weekend!

  1. I keep telling myself I’m going to try overnight oats… they look so yummy! I’m just always afraid that I’m going to mess them up- lol!

  2. It’s actually super easy! I do half cup almond milk, half cup oats, add whatever toppings and let it sit. This morning I didn’t feel like it was liquidy enough so I poured my last little bit of coffee on it. It worked! I think they’re pretty hard to mess up but I’d go with less milk first then add if needed.
