I tried to pretend to hate Valentine’s Day for years- but pink and hearts is kind of my jam, as is any excuse to buy presents for the people I love. I think I’m one of the few girls who actually loves heart-shaped jewelry, honestly. When I tagged along with my friend Tiffany to have her ring cleaned before I was engaged, the jeweler and I discussed a future ring of my own. At one point, I wanted a heart-shaped engagement ring… until this guy I dated before Kendall told me they were tacky and TO THIS DAY it bothers me that he brought up rings on our second date and then poo-pooed my preference. Anyway, the jeweler had me try on a couple super fancy halo settings and I discovered that they were far too fussy for me, but that my original preference for the heart-shaped just said that I was a hopeless romantic at heart.

Luckily, my Kendall is too- and he knows what I love. Let’s not forget that my ring is rose gold and morganite. My engagement ring is pink. #justcarolinethings.
So you can see, this is kinda really my day. I think Valentine’s Day has the absolute cutest gifts to give for her. Galentines, girlfriends, moms, sisters…everyone deserves a little something to remind them that they’re loved.
