I’ve never been one of those girls able to stick to an Instagram theme, so I gave up. My Instagram follows my blog and my blog (and style) is all over the place so there ya go. It just doesn’t work out for me. And that’s ok. Because in blogging, we can pretty much write our own rules, right?
However, I really admire bloggers who do stick to a theme- a color palette. It doesn’t necessarily mean that I want to dress or look or be just like them but it’s like appreciating art for art’s sake and I applaud the work that must go into perfecting their feeds.
One of those bloggers that jumps out at me is Courtney of Pretty Little Fawn. While she doesn’t only wear neutrals and orange, that’s what I pick up from her feed. She’s created a visual brand that plays perfectly off of her copper hair. Although her style is certainly more subdued than my own, I think she looks fabulous and her feed is stunning.
That coppery burnt orange seemed pretty popular this summer. Orange isn’t a color I’ve worn much, but I’ve noticed it on some of my friends and I’m loving it. Roxanne especially has warmed up her feed with it. Since the best part of my new-ish red ‘do is how it makes my eyes pop, maybe I should look into adding more hints of warmer/ earth tones into my wardrobe, especially as we transition from summer to fall. Burnt orange, copper, cognac, olive, event mustard- all lovely for this time of year.
