As much as I loved teal this past fall, I now cannot get enough wine/ burgundy/ what have you. Rich red is moody, cozy, and glam. I want it on everything- clothes, shoes, even my hair. My shower has started looking like a crime scene because I’ve be alternating between Burgundy Color Depositing Conditioner or Sheer Illuminator Shiny Burgundy Tinted Moisture Treatment.
I really wanted to say that wine is a universally flattering color, but I’m not an expert so I went to my girl Marisa to ask. (It really does pay to have stylist pals!) According to her, burgundy is actually a secondary neutral, along with utilitarian green and eggplant purple. Meaning, when my Auntie Steph told me that I had “autumn” coloring ( skin/ hair/ eye coloring that went well with those colors above), she didn’t realize that basically everyone looks good in those colors. Neither did I!
So go ahead and grab all the “wine” you want. It’ll flatter you and look really great with the other colors of the season.
