The last time I went to Tulips was a joint birthday celebration for Juju & Marisa. I over-indulged in champagne and went home and fell asleep immediately. Last week’s Bubbles & Bloggers champagne happy hour went no differently.
You know the old Instagram quote “your vibe attracts your tribe”? I totally feel that to my core. I’ve been a bit out of the blogging loop, honestly, since Christmas or so, but with the wedding over I’m feeling recharged and ready to go. This event really felt like a welcome home for me. I got to see some “old” (it’s weird I’ve only known them for a couple of years) friends, and met some new ones. The energy of the room was electric.
This event was technically the March event. It had to be postponed because of snow. The theme was wear red for International Women’s Day and I think this power color lit up the room in the best of ways. Dani created a red candy bar and as women entered the room, they wrote an inspirational girl-power quote on a little greeting card to go in the goody bags for the candy bar. Everyone took home a little something special.
Tulips really took care of us! They surprised us with complimentary champagne that kept us talking, laughing, and dancing well past the time the event should have been over. Like… the event lasted so long that boyfriends, husbands, fiancés came to join in on the fun. Kendo and I are actually going to Tulips for date night on Saturday. I love the vibe there- vintage, shabby chic, classy not stuffy.
I think the best part of this event, and most B&B events, was meeting new women who are now psyched to be part of our ever-growing community. As always, feel free to contact me if you’re interested in joining. It’s me (usually) on the ‘gram but Dani and I are both available to answer any and all questions about membership.
About my outfit- I realized that I really don’t own much red clothing! This dress is one Kendall got me for Christmas and MAN does he know how to dress me. This big pattern is something I’ve been told to stay away from, but I kind of love the bold statement it makes. Matched the theme of the night too! I kept calling it my I Love Lucy dress and kept it from being a vintage caricature with my trusty denim jacket and my insane Steve Madden platforms. Couldn’t help myself with the pearls though.
