Some of you might already know that I recently applied to grad school – Catholic University’s Master of Science in Management program to be specific. I feel a little stuck at work right now, and I feel like this program will just build on what I’m already doing while making me more marketable in a way that makes sense.

I’m mostly interested in the Human Resource Management track. I love working with people and one of my favorite parts of my current position is the on-boarding process for interns and new hires. Catch me literally crawling around under desks to set up their work stations, acting as a liaison between my branch office and HR at our HQ in NY, and generally being there to answer any question they have. I haven’t gotten in yet, but fingers crossed I can start my graduate journey next fall.

As with everything in my life, I am jumping the gun, but I am super excited for the prospect of going back to school. I’ve always loved that back to school feeling and I’m pretty sure that’s part of the reason I love fall so much. My plan is to do a hybrid of in-person and online learning, going right from work to Catholic. (If I get in! Fingers crossed!) Tell me why I’m already thinking about… backpacks.

I’m a huge fan of backpacks. My current backpack is a Tumi knockoff. It’s actually a great size but the one side pocket ripped and is currently being held in place by hot glue. Not really a great look. I want something more sophisticated that can take me from work to school seamlessly but also look for graduate than undergrad.
