This might come as a surprise to anyone who knows me, but I actually don’t love Valentine’s Day. It’s my second least favorite holiday after Thanksgiving. This isn’t because I’m divorced or because my 9th grade boyfriend broke up with me the day I picked up his Valentine’s Day present. I just love showing my love year round. My college boyfriend and I rarely celebrated Valentine’s Day on the day because our schedules were so wonky, and we tended to celebrate with (at least) monthly date nights on our anniversary date instead. I don’t know, I just feel like one day out of the year to show your love is dumb.

This might not make a lot of sense, but even thought I think Valentine’s Day itself is dumb, I love the vibes of it. Pink and glitter and candy and hearts and all the stereo-typically girly crap I adore. I guess what I’m saying is that I wouldn’t mind for the seasonal aisles of CVS or Target were Valentine’s Day themed year round without actually calling it that.

I’m also very down for Galentine’s Day (but that is beside the point).

Since, on paper, Valentine’s Day should be my favorite holiday, or at least not on the bottom of my list, I figured I’d put together a little mood board situation for next month. It’s not a gift guide, per say, but just a nice collection of things that can be appreciated year-round and not just February 14th, if you’re into pink, heart shaped, glittery, sugary goodness, like I am.
