The chokehold that this color combination has on me is astounding, in all shades. My room growing up started as blush with a kind of sage-colored carpet. I swapped that in middle school for a hot pink carpet with a tropical (but mostly hot pink and lime) comforter. My dorm was all shades of pink. My apartment? Lots and lots of blush with teal accents in my bedroom.

Recently, I’ve gotten very into following Talia of Dresses & Democracy. I have to applaud her for taking her feminine fashion to The (grey, navy, and tan) Hill, and she has inspired me to just go ahead and wear the pink. I told her recently that I think of her as Elle Woods in politics.

I’m started a new job in May, and while it’ll be very customer facing, I have a feeling that it’ll be more casual than my current situation at a financial advisory firm. I’m going to check with one of the ladies I know who works there first – don’t worry, but I kind of think that I’ll be able to really let my personality shine. And my personality is pink.

What do you think of this color combo? I just feel like it’s so fresh!
